Recruiting 2012
Now we're into 2012, we're starting to get organised for the upcoming season and we are looking to recruit early!
Chef
We are looking for a talented chef to fill the voids left behind by the likes of Wallace, Timmy and Bex.
We've had some superb chefs over the years and looking for a new member of the team.
Do you get a buzz from being in a resort town, cooking up great food for fun groups of riders and want some time on the bike yourself? Then this is the job for you.
Wallace, our chef for 2010/2011 had it dialled. He cooked many a superb breakfast and dinner and still got plenty of time on his bike.
In 2010 rode the bikepark almost exclusively and he logged 81 days, 450 runs!
In 2011, he mixed it up and started to pedal teh resorts XC trail network more but still managed 55 days and 233 runs.
Chalet host
As always, we need the services of a chalet host. Duties include 'keeping house' and keeping things in shape.
Sophie was the definition of perfect, so there are some pretty big boots to fill.
That said, no reason that you cant ride 6 days a week whilst keeping the place spic and span.
Ideally the chef comes with a significant other - the chalet host - are you that awesome couple?
Employment package details on request, please email Mark for more info.
Whistler Coaching and Hiring Course
For early season 2012, Bear Back Biking are proud to be working with Peak Leaders and Whistler Bike Park to provide a residential instructor training course with focus on becoming a Bike Park instructor and mountain bike guide.
We are excited to be able to offer the ONLY course where participants will be offered a job by WBP (assuming you can satisfy the minimum requirements)
Course dates are May 22 - June 12th 2012
So, about to embark on a year out?
Fancy a summer in Whistler?
Want to get paid to ride?
Want a base for when you arrive so you can get fully qualified to work on the park?
Want to get qualified then actually have a job?
Want to do all this with a bunch of likeminded individuals who will probably end up being your riding buddies?
Then you gotta get yourself booked on this course!
2012 Early Bookings
2011 is done... aside from the upcoming premiere of the Coastal Crews's film From the Inside Out
So, thoughts are on to 2012 summer season and once again we're running a 2011 price freeze for bookings made before the 31st December.
Expect prices to go up as of the new year, so book now to save and of course to avoid any availability disapointment!
We ran at 90% occupancy through July, August and September so get your dates set asap :)
September 2011
September has long been our favourite month in Whistler for a quieter resort, bargain basement late season pass pricing and riders trying to wring the last few drops of braap out of the bike park!
Snow has started hitting the Alpine and the rain is falling - that said, there is still the odd sunny day thrown in for good measure!
Our favourite identically challenged guests Colin and Ian have been busy around town both on their bikes and with cameras in hand. The twins seem to have become our unofficial videographers so we figured it only right to give them a gratuitous pic captured by Delcol of Paul (pp) whipping on Crabapple Hits
BBB Guide Paul Aston captured here on his 2011 Gambler.
